Start with the foundation container
Foundation may arrive in a pump bottle, tube or compact, so measure the actual closed container rather than choosing a carton by product name. Include the cap or pump, any raised base and the space needed to lift the product out. If the box will hold a primer or applicator as well, show the full set arrangement.
Plan a clear identity across shades
Send the shade names, codes and approved artwork for each version. A customer should be able to match the carton to the foundation inside; decide which information belongs on the main panels and which is supplied by your regulatory team. If you need an insert to keep a bottle or compact in place, provide a drawing or sample dimensions for review.
What to include in the foundation brief
- Container type and closed dimensions
- Cap, pump or applicator details
- Shade range and quantity per variant
- Approved copy and artwork files
- Insert request, destination and deadline
Check the proof before the range is released
The responsible person should check applicable cosmetic product information and final packaging. Review every shade version for matching names and codes, then confirm the carton material, print, finish, minimum quantity, price and timing in the quote.
