Measure the cheesecake with its finished decoration
Give the cake’s diameter, height and the highest topping or decoration that must fit beneath the lid. Say whether it sits on a board or tray and provide the complete packed dimensions. If you sell whole cakes and individual portions, send a separate brief for each format rather than assuming one carton will suit both.
Plan a base and closure for the way it is sold
Explain whether the cake is collected at a counter, displayed for sale or packed for delivery. If a handle, window, removable base or support is required, request it for review; none is confirmed as standard. Share the filled weight and how the carton is carried so the proposed construction can be checked against the intended use.
Check the food-contact material and print
State whether the cake touches the board, coating, liner or printed surface. FSA guidance covers food-contact materials and notes that inks and adhesive labels can be relevant. Provide approved artwork and the quantity by cake size, then ask the quote to confirm material, print, minimum order, price and delivery timing.
