Plan the box around the product mix
List the item or items the box needs to hold, then provide their dimensions and approximate packed weight. Clothing, accessories and small homeware can need different layouts, so include tissue, tags or an insert if these are part of the finished pack. For a product range, note which sizes need their own carton.
Choose the opening and branded face
Explain whether the box is for a shelf, counter, gift handover or online order. Share the logo, approved wording and artwork, and mark the panel you want customers to see first. If you have a preferred lid, handle or internal arrangement, ask for it to be reviewed against the actual item before artwork is final.
What a boutique-packaging enquiry should include
- Product dimensions, quantity and packed weight
- Items, tissue, cards or inserts in each box
- Retail, gift or dispatch use
- Artwork files and any size or colour versions
- Order quantity and delivery postcode
Review one representative pack-out
Ask to check a sample or drawing with a typical item inside. Confirm the dimensions, opening, panel artwork and selected finish, then record the agreed specification and order terms before production.
