Packaging Multi-Item Gift Sets and Product Bundles
A multi-item gift set needs a clear layout, a secure fit and an opening experience that works for every item in the bundle. Plan the inside of the pack before choosing its outer box or printed finishing details.

Map the contents and variations
List each item, its dimensions and weight, then sketch the arrangement the customer should see when the box opens. If bundles change by season or order, identify the largest and smallest combinations. This helps decide whether one layout can cover the range or whether separate inserts or box sizes are more practical.
- Include cards, samples, accessories and any protective wrap.
- Mark which products must remain upright, visible or separated.
- Check the heaviest combination as well as the most common bundle.
Choose a box for the contents and the customer
A rigid presentation box can suit a keepsake or premium set; a folding carton may suit a lighter retail bundle; a mailer box is often considered when the set ships directly to the recipient. The right choice depends on fit, storage, presentation and delivery—not only on how the box looks when empty.
Make packing and replenishment repeatable
Test the order in its final sequence, including the insert, tissue, card and closure. A repeatable layout can reduce packing mistakes and keep the presentation consistent. If the bundle has variants, label the artwork and insert version clearly and keep a photo of each approved pack-out for future reorders.
- Confirm internal dimensions after every insert or wrap is added.
- Check that the lid closes without compressing the products.
- Share bundle quantities, artwork status and delivery postcode in the quote brief.
