Apparel Packaging: Boxes, Tissue and Swing Tags
Apparel packaging can include a shipping box, a retail presentation box, tissue and a swing tag. Choose each part for the sales channel and garment rather than adding accessories that do not help the customer or the packing team.

Separate shipping from presentation
A garment sold online may need an outer mailer or postal box for delivery, while a retail gift or premium collection may need a presentation-led box. If the box serves both roles, confirm how it protects the folded item and how it will arrive after handling. Start with the folded garment and any included accessories, not a flat-garment measurement.
- Measure the folded garment and the complete order together.
- Note whether the box is shipped directly or placed inside another parcel.
- Consider how quickly the team needs to pack common order sizes.
Coordinate the branded details
Tissue, swing tags, stickers and insert cards can create a consistent opening experience when they share a clear visual system. Decide what customers need to read on a tag, which side carries the brand and whether paper should wrap one item or an entire order. Keep any care, fibre or product information accurate and approved by the brand.
Keep the first run easy to reorder
A small collection may be easier to manage with one or two box sizes and a repeatable wrap or tag format. If garment sizes vary, test the largest and smallest packed items before settling on a shared box. Include the quantity, dimensions, artwork status and UK delivery postcode when requesting a quote.
- Check that the tag attachment and position work with the garment.
- Review tissue size against the finished box and folded product.
- Save approved artwork and dimensions for each garment or collection.
