Measure the vial, closure and any leaflet
Provide the vial's full height and widest point with the cap or closure fitted. Say whether the carton holds one vial, a set or an additional leaflet, and include every item in the proposed layout. Confirm the internal dimensions and any requested divider against the actual pack before artwork is finalised.
Let the medicines team supply approved copy
Send the product identification, pack version and artwork text approved by the organisation responsible for the medicine. For licensed medicines, MHRA guidance covers packaging and labelling; the responsible medicines team should confirm the required content, placement and legibility for that product. Do not alter approved wording to fit a panel without their review.
Prepress details for a vial carton
- Vial height, diameter and closure dimensions
- Number of vials and any leaflet or accessory
- Approved pack text, product version and barcode
- Artwork file and proof-review contacts
- Quantity, delivery postcode and specification needs
Approve a proof against the medicine specification
Review all panels, folds and any leaflet arrangement with the responsible medicines team. If accessibility features or other special requirements apply to the medicine, provide the approved instructions before the artwork is released. Confirm construction, print, quantity and order terms in writing; no tamper or child-resistance feature is assumed.
