Desserts vary in shape, so begin with the item you sell and provide its length, width and height in the finished state. Include a cake board, cup or liner and note whether one item or an assortment goes in each box.
Keep decoration and occasion in the dimensions
Measure the tallest icing, topping or decoration that must fit below the lid. Explain whether the box is for a bakery counter, a celebration, collection or another use. If you want a window, handle, divider or separate base, name it in the brief so the quoted specification includes it. Include the filled weight and how the item will be carried.
Personalise with a proof-ready message
Send the approved name, greeting, brand artwork and spelling, and identify which panels should carry each element. If dessert touches the carton, ink, coating or insert, state that clearly. FSA guidance covers food-contact materials and can include printing inks and adhesive labels. Confirm the proposed material, print, quantity and timing, then approve a proof before the order proceeds.
