Set the serving size before selecting the format
Give the length, width and height of the filled serving, not only the empty carton. If the order includes more than one portion size or a side item, list each combination and quantity separately.
Consider the hand-off from fryer to customer
Explain whether the box is used for counter service, takeaway or another setting. If you want an open top, a dip area, a side opening or a particular way to hold the carton, describe it as a design request; the listing does not verify a standard format. Include the expected food temperature and contact time so the proposed material can be reviewed for the intended use.
Specify contact surfaces and coatings
State whether hot food touches the carton, liner, coating or printed area. FSA guidance covers materials that contact food, including relevant printing inks and adhesive labels. Do not assume grease resistance, heat performance or compostability from the product name. Provide approved artwork and ask the quote to confirm the exact board, finish, print, order quantity and price.
