Keep the cereal carton tied to its inner pack
Start with the filled bag or tray that will sit inside the box. Measure its full dimensions, including the seal, and state the pack weight and how many inner packs go in one carton. Make clear whether the printed carton is an outer sleeve or could contact cereal directly, since the intended use affects the material review.
Reserve clear space for shelf information
Share the approved product name, recipe or flavour, pack weight, barcode and artwork versions. Identify the front panel and information for the other sides. Your food business should provide and check the wording; a print proof lets you review the panel order, readability and match with the correct inner pack.
A wholesale cereal brief in one pass
- Filled bag or tray size and number per carton
- Outer-pack or possible direct-contact use
- Recipe, weight, code and artwork versions
- Approved product copy and barcode
- Quantity per design and delivery postcode
Check each flavour before quantities are released
List each version and quantity beside its artwork file. Compare the proof with the matching product and have your food team approve the final information. FSA guidance calls for food information that is clear, easy to read, visible and not misleading. Confirm the chosen construction, print and written order terms before production.
